EVAN DUNN is described as “nothing short of electric” and having a “powerhouse voice”. He has operatic credits such as Don Giovanni (Don Giovanni), Schaunard (La Boheme), Leporello (Don Giovanni), and der Besenbinder (Hänsel und Gretel). He is equally well-versed in musical theatre with leading roles such as Adam Pontipee (Seven Brides for Seven Brothers), The Beast (Beauty and the Beast), Captain von Trapp (The Sound of Music) and Monsieur Andre (The Phantom of the Opera) alongside Broadway star, David Gaschen.
Evan is an active recitalist and has performed in several states and in Europe. He trained with internationally esteemed stars such as Kristine Ciesinski, Norman Bailey, Darrell Babidge, Jeremy Silver, and Gerald Dolter. He is a trained dancer/acrobat and toured with Dance Alliance throughout Canada. He also performed as a guest soloist for The Dance Collaborative and Flatlands Dance Theatre.
Most recently, he performed as Dapertutto (Les contes d’Hoffmann), Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde (Jekyll and Hyde) at the Wallace Theatre, and as Will Parker (Oklahoma!) at Moonlight Musicals.
Evan is married to choreographer and movement director, Hannah Dunn, and they have three children. He teaches voice from his private studio. In his spare-time, he loves doing CrossFit, baking vegan desserts, practicing meditation, and pulling out his jumprope to relive the glory days of his past jumprope career.
